WATER-GAIT - GAIT AND BALANCE
TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 8:00-8:45 (beginning March 9, 2010)


If your gait could use a tune-up, this is the class for you.  Walking in the water is a surefire way to improve your gait on land!  With no fear of falling (because you're in the water), you learn to balance through every part of the gait cycle.  Your risk of falling will be far less. 

You will:

Current class members couldn't be happier!  Many say it is better than physical therapy!  Everyone improves their balance -- on land as well as in the water.  They are moving more like they did years ago -- in ways they never dreamed they could again!!


AI CHI

TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 9:00 - 9:45

Tai chi and yoga are fused together to create a healing symphony of motion.  Graceful movements of the upper and lower torso create a sense of well-being in body, mind and spirit.  Wonderful for pain and stress management.

With regular attendance, you will:

Ai Chi was created in Japan and brought to the US by ATRI, the Aquatic Therapy Rehab Association.  It is helping people all over the country with arthritis, fibromyalgia, stoke, parkinsons, respiratory problems, asthma, hypertension and much, much more lead a healthier life.

WATER-GAIT - ARTHRITIS AND JOINT
TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 10:00 - 10:45

If you have joint pain from arthritis, fibromyalgia, or orthopedic origins, this class is for you.  It is excellent for MS, neurological conditions, and recovering cancer patients.  We will improve our balance skills with fun and interesting props, and we will strengthen our muscles to better handle the load of gravity on land . 

With full range of motion exercises for upper and lower extremities, we will soothe aching muscles and joints.  Flexibility and range of motion will improve.  Discover the magic of water and how it can cure what ails you!
